Altered State aims to present the link between consciousness and reality . The book contains a variety of original poetry and illustrations to capture the essence and randomness of the things that cannot be verified.

“We see with the eyes, but we see with the brain as well. And seeing with the brain is often called imagination. And we are familiar with the landscapes of our own imagination, our inscapes.”

This work portrays the state of being “out of touch” with reality and how the brain is able to synthesize an alternative reality in a perfectly realistic way, since not everyone yields reality in the same way.

This is done in the form of a perfect-bound book, and with the use two styles of illustration, original poetry, mixed orientations, photography, and lettering.
